Investment Aids Computerized Thermal Imaging's Tests
OGDEN, Utah, March 10 -- Computerized Thermal Imaging, Inc. (CTI) will receive an equity investment of $7 million from Beach Boulevard, LLC, which will allow the developer of thermal-imaging medical technologies to complete ongoing clinical trials. CTI is testing the efficacy of its technology, when used in conjunction with clinical examination and/or mammography, to increase physicians' ability to differentiate benign and malignant tissue when examining suspicious breast abnormalities. Preliminary test results indicate that the system may be able to decrease the number of benign biopsies performed by as much as 38%.
