PD-LD Awarded Patent for VBG Improvement

PD-LD Inc. of Pennington, N.J., a provider of custom volume Bragg grating (VBG) elements and VBG-stabilized lasers, has received a US patent for its latest VBG advancement. According to the company, the improved and simpler laser mechanism, which allows for a larger wavelength-tuning range, is suitable for a wide variety of high-volume applications.
