Janos Acquired by Fluke
Janos Technology of Keene, N.H., a manufacturer of custom precision optics, thermal imaging lenses and optical assemblies, was acquired recently by Fluke Corp. of Everett, Wash., a Danaher company. Janos will operate as part of Fluke’s thermal imaging business unit, which makes handheld thermal imagers and other electronic test and measurement tools.
Janos will continue servicing its core markets, which include defense and aerospace, infrared imaging, analytical instrumentation, and OEMs.
The company has 122 employees, a number that Karl Martinson, director of business development, expects to grow now that it is part of the Danaher group. He noted that all of Fluke’s sister divisions, including Lumitron of Louisville, Ky., and Kollmorgen Electro-Optical of Northampton, Mass., bring financial resources and access to business systems, engineering and assembly.
“We see this acquisition as bringing Janos up to world-class supplier standing,” Martinson told Photonics Spectra.
