Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft Opens COMEDD
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft of Dresden, Germany, has opened its Center for Organic Materials and Electronic Devices Dresden (COMEDD) for the development of processes for organic semiconductor devices, including OLEDs and organic solar cells. According to Federal Minister of Research Annette Schavan, the COMEDD has unified the two fields of innovation, which will be strengthened by the high-tech strategy, and it has brought Germany to the forefront in international competition. The center will ensure that development and production know-how, as well as job security, will stay in Europe.
