Funding for Efficient Thin OLEDs

The US Department of Energy (DoE), under the auspices of its solid-state lighting program, has offered an SBIR Phase I grant of almost $100,000 to Universal Display Corp. of Ewing, N.J. The company is developing a technique that has the potential to double the efficiency of its white organic LED while preserving its thin form factor.
