Rapid Method Testing Kit Wins European Patent

Rapid testing technologies researcher Rockeby biomed Ltd. of Singapore has been granted a European patent for its CanDia5 candida assay, a blood-based professional point-of-care test kit that detects vulvovaginal candidiasis. The terms of the patent, previously granted in Australia, Japan and the US, will be extended to the UK. The screening test is promoted for use during pregnancy to reduce the risk of preterm labor.
