Laser Firm Lauds TMR Medicare Reimbursement

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 12 -- Eclipse Surgical Technologies Inc. praised the US Health Care Finance Administration's (HCFA) recent decision to provide Medicare coverage for Transmyocardial Revascularization (TMR) beginning July 1, 1999.
Eclipse is very appreciative of HCFA's continued prompt and favorable decisions regarding Medicare coverage of TMR, said Allen W. Hill, president & CEO of Eclipse. The decision for a hospital to perform the TMR procedure has just been made easier, Hill added.
