LED Purchase

PerkinElmer Inc. of Waltham, Mass., a developer and manufacturer of scientific solutions for health, safety and the environment, has acquired Opto Technology Inc. of Wheeling, Ill. The acquisition will allow the former to add the latter’s high-brightness LED components portfolio to its offerings, enabling it to provide OEMs with energy-efficient solid-state lighting solutions for health, safety and security.
