Oxford Gene, BioArray Solutions Settle Dispute
Oxford Gene Technology of Oxford, UK, has announced the settlement of a lawsuit it filed in US federal court for the District of Delaware against Warren, N.J.-based BioArray Solutions Ltd., for its alleged infringement of three US patents. The US company has consistently denied the infringement, and the UK-based company has now entered into a license agreement with Bio-Array Solutions, now part of Immucor. The contract gives BioArray Solutions worldwide rights in the field of molecular immunohematology to Oxford Gene Technology’s Family 6 patents, which describe the use of microarray technology to detect variations in DNA sequences. The license will remain valid for the lifetimes of the patents.
