The !%Optical Society of America%! has launched its online database of environmentally friendly optics and photonics products and services. Spanning all aspects of the industry, from fiber optics and components to sensors and laser accessories, the “Green Photonics Guide” works by continually indexing the content of participating supplier Web sites. Users can perform keyword-driven or category-specific searches, download the tool to their desktops and contact the suppliers directly using the Request for Information function.
