PerkinElmer Appoints Friel

Waltham, Mass.-based PerkinElmer Inc., a provider of solutions related to human and environmental health, has announced that its board of directors has appointed Robert F. Friel, the company’s president and chief executive officer, to the additional role of chairman of the board of directors. Friel’s appointment is part of the company’s leadership succession plan and is designed to support its growth strategy and provide leadership continuity.
