Invitrogen Licenses Harvard Technology
Invitrogen Corp. of Carlsbad, Calif., has exclusively licensed cell proliferation assays, based on “click” chemistry, from
Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. Originally developed at the
Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, Calif., click chemistry enables direct fluorescent labeling of molecules while their biological function is retained. It can be used for applications that include flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy and high content screening.
