The Fall 2007 issue of BioView, a serial publication of Takara Bio USA, features articles on the company’s polymerase chain reaction human papillomavirus typing and detection sets, which were tested using tissues (carcinomas and benign) for various high-risk virus types, and on the FastPure RNA purification kit, which requires no organic solvents or ethanol. The 15-page document highlights the e2Tak DNA polymerase as an alternative to Taq polymerase, and the DNA Ligation Kit Long, which is a tool for cloning DNA fragments from 2 kb to more than 10 kb in length.
