Aperio Wins FDA Approval for Image Analysis Apps

Aperio Technologies Inc. of Bristol, UK, a provider of digital pathology instrumentation for the health care and life sciences industries, has received clearance from the FDA to market the HER2 image analysis application. The immunohistochemistry application, available through the company’s slide-scanning system, is intended to aid pathologists in identifying and measuring HER2 protein expression.
