Gamma Medica-Ideas, Mayo Clinic Collaborate

Gamma Medica-Ideas Inc. of Northridge, Calif., a developer of digital medical imaging devices, will collaborate with the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minn., to document the usage of the company’s LumaGEM dual-headed molecular breast-imaging technology. The project, funded by a grant for $1.8 million from the National Cancer Institute, will investigate the technology for use in the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
