Viralytics strengthens portfolio

In Sydney, Australia, Viralytics Ltd. has received a US patent for the use of Echoviruses, including the proprietary Evatak formulation of Echovirus Type 1, to treat all cancers expressing the integrin a₂b₁ molecule. Included are ovarian, prostate and gastric forms, all of which express high levels of the molecule on their surfaces. The patent provides the company with the exclusive use of the viruses in this manner until 2023, and it strengthens Viralytics’ intellectual property portfolio.
