Coherent Reveals Board Changes

Coherent Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., has announced the appointment of L. William Krause to the board of directors. Krause previously served as president, CEO and chairman of the board of 3Com Corp., from which he retired. Before that, he was employed by Hewlett-Packard for 14 years in marketing and general management positions. Coherent also announced that John Hart will retire from the board following nine years of service after completing his current term and will not stand for re-election at the next annual meeting of stockholders.
