Applied Biosystems

In Carlsbad, Calif., Applied Biosystems, a division of Life Technologies Corp., has selected the recipient of its “What Would You Do with a $10K Genome” grant program. Awarded to Dr. Charles Mullighan of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., the grant will be used to identify genetic mutations that cause relapses of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
