With an infrastructure supporting biomedical image analysis, pattern matching and artificial intelligence, the center will focus on applications in health care, drug discovery and research, clinical trials, patient care and the life sciences. The facility also will offer software application design, development and testing, image databases for the creation of algorithms, Web-based image sharing and other services.
