Invitrogen Corp. of Carlsbad, Calif., a provider of life science technologies, has announced its participation in the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders Program. By joining the program, the company has pledged to reduce its corporatewide greenhouse gas emissions. It is focusing on energy conservation and efficiency, on alternative sources of energy, on LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and on technological innovation.
