ChemImage Corp. of Pittsburgh has partnered with Headwall Photonics of Fitchburg, Mass., to create spectroscopic imaging devices. Intended for application in the pharmaceutical, forensic and materials characterization fields, the product lineup will include a system that combines Raman spectrometry, microscopy and digital imaging to allow drug polymorph identification. Another device will be designed for chemical, biological and explosive threat assessment in laboratory and field settings.
