!%Edmund Optics%! has released the “2007 Master Source Book,” a resource for optical system designers that is available in both print and pdf. Along with illustrations, the document specifies the company’s products, including nearly 110 items that are not listed in the standard catalog. It presents volume pricing figures to facilitate the evaluation of financial as well as technical trade-offs in product selection. More than 40 pages are devoted to technical information guides that cover topics such as cleaning methods, filter selection, mirror coatings and colorimetry. The guides, for both new and experienced developers, are located near their related products’ catalog pages. New products are described in the front of the book and highlighted in the index.
