Trends in biophotonics
A technology study from !%Intertech-Pira%! titled “Advances in Biophotonics” addresses the application of photons in biology and medicine, as well as challenges and emerging trends in the field. It covers developments in photonic materials and devices, including LEDs, nanotubes, quantum dots, surface plasmons, silicon-on-insulator, micro- and nanophotonics, heterostructured lasers, and optical fibers and waveguides. Sections are devoted to optics, bioimaging, biosensors, bioluminescence, bio-optical detection, image processing, in vivo imaging, multiphoton microscopy, NIR spectroscopy and protein separation.
