Firms Join To Push Light-Emitting Polymer Displays

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 20 -- Cambridge Display Technology and Covion, developers of Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) devices and materials, have formed the Polymer Display Alliance (PODIA). The goals of the alliance are to remove the barriers to market entry for LEP technology, and ultimately to accelerate the transfer of LEP technology to companies planning to develop products in this area. PODIA plans to make available to interested companies all products and services needed to evaluate LEP display technology, including polymer materials, device architecture, process know-how, and even device prototyping.
