MIT in Cambridge, Mass., has partnered with Definiens AG of Munich, Germany, to deploy that company’s platform-independent image-analysis tools for data-intensive applications. The Whitehead Institute-MIT BioImaging Center will use the technologies to study the structure, dynamics and function of biologically significant molecules. The German company will consult with the institute regarding new products and intends to accommodate its data-processing requirements in the software development process.
