Syntec Optics Unveils Cleanroom
Custom polymer optics maker Syntec Optics unveiled its new Class 10,000 cleanroom at its Pavilion, N.Y., headquarters today. The cleanroom will be used for assembly and testing of precision polymer and glass optical systems that are highly sensitive to environmental particulate, the company said. “...we now have the capabilities to take on new projects that require the purest of production and testing processes," said Lori Steffenilla, vice president of manufacturing operations. "This is especially key for us as we continue to grow in the medical, biometrics, and defense industries where precision, superior function, and reliability are critical.” The company said the cleanroom will allow it to expand its customer base while strengthening Syntec's position as a contract manufacturing services provider.
