Azores Enhances 24-hour Tech Support

Azores Corp, manufacturer of advanced photolithography steppers for mobile display and X-ray sensor applications, has enhanced its 24-hour technical support service by adding regional staff located in Asia and the United States.

Azores’ e-Diagnostics service provides members of Azores’ technical support team with real time information, such as calibration, hardware performance, and other functions critical to maintaining uptime of the photolithography system. According to the company, this data allows Azores’ worldwide technical support engineers to quickly troubleshoot and identify any situation and then communicate with the customer’s technician to resolve it quickly.

“Our technical support team provides our customers with online, 24/7 expertise for their technical, applications, and maintenance needs regardless of geographic location,” said Elvino da Silveira, president and CEO of Azores Corp. “We understand the pressure on our customers, especially in this economic environment, and provide them with the support they need to keep their fabrication lines operating.”

The company’s e-Diagnostic services are available on all of its step-and-repeat photolithography printers, for Generation 3.5 up to Generation 4.5 applications such as flat panel displays for PDAs, cellular phones, and digital cameras. The systems feature high performance projection lenses that enable high-resolution imaging down to 1.5 µm and depth of focus of more than 9 µm. Azores lenses produce up to a 200 mm large field, allowing as many as nine displays with integrated drivers to be shot in under .20 seconds, dramatically enhancing throughput. The printers also feature small footprints and low-cost reticles for an affordable manufacturing process.
