JEOL USA

Peabody, Mass.-based JEOL USA has announced that the University of Texas at El Paso has selected its 300-keV JEM-3200FS cryoelectron microscope with an omega energy filter for its emerging structural biology program. The transmission electron microscope, which is designed for high resolution and increased contrast, will be housed in a campus building that should be completed in 2011. The university will use the microscope for single-particle reconstruction and tomography.
