Schmitt and Lambda Form Partnership

Schmitt Industries Inc., laser-based surface measurement metrology equipment supplier, has announced Lambda Research Corp. as its newest worldwide representative for its SMS line of laser light scatter surface measurement services: the MicroScan portable surface measurement system and the CASI laser light scatterometer.

It will couple its products and measurement services with Lambda’s TracePro software, a comprehensive, versatile software tool for modeling and analyzing the propagation of light in imaging and nonimaging optomechanical systems. Schmitt’s products provide the precise measurement information needed to correctly simulate surface characteristics in Lambda’s virtual prototyping optomechanical software.

The devices are suitable for use in lighting, display, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, aerospace and information technology markets.
