Trioptics Acquires µPhase from Fisba Optik
Optical test equipment maker Trioptics GmbH announced it has acquired the µPhase product line of interferometers from Switzerland-based Fisba Optik AG, along with Fisba's Berlin-based business, Fisba Optik GmbH, effective June 30. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Trioptics said the µPhase line complements its optical test equipment portfolio, which includes the TriAngle electronic autocollimator, OptiCentric cementing stations and WaveMaster wavefront sensors. Fisba will continue to produce uPhase's optical core components for Trioptics.
As part of the deal, Fisba Optik in Berlin will become part of Trioptics. Fisba Optik GbmH was established in 1998 by Fisba Optik AG to conduct optical metrology research and development. Fisba Optik AG said the transaction will allow it to further expand its business-to-business work in the photonics sector.
