Affymetrix Inc.

Affymetrix Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., and Partners HealthCare of Boston, Mass., have entered into a three-year translational research collaboration to develop microarray-based diagnostics for complex diseases such as newborn hearing loss, autism and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. As part of the agreement, researchers from the Boston company will use Affymetrix’s genotyping, resequencing and expression technologies in their labs, allowing them to develop validated diagnostic tests.
