Olympus America Inc. of Center Valley, Pa., obtained privately held Bacus Laboratories Inc. of Lombard, Ill. Olympus America’s microscope hardware and Bacus’ virtual microscope slide technology and software combined will enable physicians to review pathology images without handling glass slides and to share these images over the internet. Consequently, doctors will be able to confer on medical information and diagnosis more easily.
