New LED Lighting Fixtures From Taiwan

Friends, as you all know, the LED industry, of late, has garnered a lot of attention with manufacturers across the globe making rapid expansions and investments in LED-related equipment. The LED industry is witnessing a fast growth in 2010, and LED makers are gearing up to cater to the rising demand.

Ever since I started this blog on Photonics.com, I've been inundated with new products from all across the Greater China region. It is a pleasure to introduce such products to readers here. What it also tells me is that the interest and demand for LEDs is now tremendous, although it has yet to scale the heights that it is desirable.

When we talk of LED products, LED bulbs and tubes form the major part of the industry. With huge demand for LED bulbs this year, LED bulb makers are moving fast upstream. And, Taiwan is one region where LED bulb manufacturers are introducing new line of products.

One such manufacturer is Taiwan-based High Tech Global Group Co. Ltd., which has introduced new LED lighting fixtures, including tube lights and an office lamp. High Tech Global Group, which makes quality and cost-effective high power LED products, claims that its products can be used to reduce contamination, save energy, and make magnificent and colorful lighting.

In fact, Feite Optoelectronics Co. Ltd., a division of the High Tech Global Group under the Taiwan Feite Group, integrates research, development, production, sales and service of LED products. It has set up the LED photoelectrical and LED decoration division, in cooperation with various provinces and municipalities in China. And I'm not surprised, having visited several such factories and manufacturers in both Taiwan and China.

Let me now share with you the specifications of its 60 × 60cm LED office lamp. This lamp claims to maintain a standard color temperature of 3000 to 3500/4000 to 4500/6000 to 6500 K, and requires a voltage of 110/220 VAC, wide-band voltage (85 to ~265 VAC) or 12/24/48/100 VDC.

The LED used in the lamp is a 5-mm dip lamp and it is made of glass, PC and aluminum with PC. The lamp is available in lengths of 600, 900, 1200, 1500, 1800 and 2400 mm, respectively, and has a diameter of T5, T8, T10 and T12, respectively.
