Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation
of San Francisco has given $5.6 million to California Institute of Technology in
Pasadena to create the Center for Integrative Study of Cell Regulation. The center
will focus on how genes and proteins in cells interact and accomplish tasks. Collaborations
will combine expertise in computation and cell biology, creating algorithms to help
study cell movements within embryos in a series of microscopic images.
