Biolase Technology Names Director of Laser Technology
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., July 27 -- Biolase Technology, Inc., a manufacturer of laser-based systems for use in dental and medical applications, announced that Michael M. Tilleman has joined the company as director of laser technology. Tilleman comes to Biolase from NRC-Soreq, in Yavne, Israel, where he served as senior scientist for eye-safe laser systems and project leader in Lidar for Remote Detection of Vapor/Gas. From 1990 to 1996, he was founder and leader of the Electro-Optics division of Aspen Systems in Marlborough, Mass. While at Aspen Systems, Tilleman managed the research and development of laser radar with fiber optic relay devices and of a high-speed electro-optic photographic system; he also headed research and development funding.
