NASA

NASA has awarded Boston Applied Technologies Inc. of Woburn, Mass., and The Catholic University of America of Washington, a Phase 2 Small Business Technology Transfer contract for their collaboration on a polarization imaging apparatus for cell and tissue imaging and diagnostics. Phase 2 awards were granted to 14 of the most promising Phase 1 partnerships on the basis of innovation, technical merit, usefulness to NASA, commercial potential and company capabilities. The program aims to stimulate technological innovation, increase the use of small businesses and increase private-sector commercialization.
