QD Vision’s Coe-Sullivan Named to NRC Committee
Quantum dot company QD Vision announced that Dr. Seth Coe-Sullivan was selected as a member of the National Research Council Committee.
The committee was set in place to develop a research strategy for the environmental, health and safety (EH&S) aspects of engineered nanomaterials.
Funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency, the committee was formed to create a conceptual framework for EH&S-related research; develop a research plan with short- and long-term research priorities; estimate resources necessary to implement the research plan; and evaluate research progress over a three-year period.
Coe-Sullivan is one of 20 US EH&S experts on the committee, and the only representative from a nanomaterials business. Other representatives include members from several prestigious universities, research firms, environmental organizations and publicly held corporations.
“The committee has a critical role at the interface of science and policy, and will play a key part in steering and evaluating EH&S research related to nanomaterials, as well as to help determine near-term and long-term research goals,” said Co-Sullivan.
