Heard to Head JDSU Comm. Test & Measurement Segment
Enabling broadband and optical innovation in the communications, commercial and consumer markets, JDSU announced Monday that it named David Heard as president of its communications test and measurement business segment.
With more than 20 years of experience in the communications sector, Heard has gained a depth of experience in areas key to JDSU’s growth strategy. He has held positions at AT&T/Lucent, Tekelek/Santera Systems Switching division, Somera and BigBand Networks.
The company’s communications test and measurement business segment serves the world’s largest communication, cable and wireless providers, networking equipment companies and enterprise customers. It is the company’s largest segment.
Heard succeeds Dave Holly, who in late August was named to lead JDSU’s emerging markets business.
