NanoIntegris Signs Contract with Kanto

NanoIntegris Inc., a supplier of 99 percent pure semiconducting and metallic carbon nanotubes, announced its entrance into a distribution contract with Kanto Chemical Co. Inc. of Portland, Ore., a supplier of electronic materials to the semiconductor industry.

Research companies and universities currently use the company’s carbon nanotubes to develop emerging technologies such as printable transistors, chemical sensors and biomedical applications, including imaging and drug discovery.

“Kanto is an innovation driven company, contributing to the development of future technologies,” said Makoto Inose, deputy general manager of Kanto’s Reagent division. “We are primarily an electronic chemicals company; and we believe carbon nanotubes offer great promise to revolutionize the consumer and industrial electronics industries, from printed electronics in the medium-term to extremely fast microprocessors in the long-term.”

“We feel confident knowing we have the support of Kanto to develop this (nanoelectronics) market with Japanese research institutes and R&D companies over the coming years,” said Dan Leven, CEO of NanoIntegris.
