Tessera Opens Office in Seoul
Confirming its commitment to the Korean market, Tessera Technologies Inc. announced it has opened a new office in Seoul to support its regional activities with OEMS and industry partners in the growing cell phone market.
“The Republic of Korea is experiencing solid growth in the mobile device market,” said Woong Lee, director of business development and marketing at Tessera Korea Ltd. “We have several important customers and partners in this country, where we plan to play a leading role over the next few years.”
In addition to opening its office, the company held its first Tessera Technology Symposium in Seoul. With the theme, “Transforming Consumer Electronics with HD Video,” the symposium featured a keynote presentation from Tae Chan Kim of Samsung LSI.
Other presentations included Transforming the Camera, The Camera Sensor: Its Evolution and Value, MEMS” Next-Generation Auto-Focus for HD Video, and Creating the User Experience for HD Video Capture and Display. It also featured live technology demonstrations.
