EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands, Aug. 19 -- Philips Components, a division of Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands, has named Hein van der Zeeuw chairman and CEO of its optical storage business group. Hein van der Zeeuw joins Philips Optical Storage at a time when CD-RW and DVD are enjoying tremendous market growth in consumer and PC applications worldwide, stated Gerard Kleisterlee, chairman of Philips Components.
