HGH Receives Innovation 2010 Trophy
The Vigiscan, a high-performance infrared panoramic vision camera from HGH Infrared Systems, was awarded the Innovation Prize at the Euronaval trade show held in Paris from Oct. 25-29, 2010.
The trophy was presented to the company by Hervé Morin, the former French Minster of Defence. It confirms the qualities of system already honored by the American magazine NASA Tech Briefs, which awarded the company the “2008 product of the year” prize for its original concept.

Designed to address new security requirements, the Vigiscan camera features infrared panoramic vision and combines viewing, detection and tracking software. It offers 360° day and night coverage, while simultaneously tracking an unlimited number of sea, aerial or land-based targets. In addition, it features high thermal sensitivity and a very long detection range. It can scan all spaces in real time with its high-speed rotating head, which can complete one revolution every two seconds.
The camera was developed initially to address surveillance problems for sensitive industrial sites, airports, borders and military bases. Now with its long-range focusing version, it can scan very extensive areas and can be used for land-based maritime applications, including surveillance of ports and coastlines.
With its gyro-stabilized platform, it can also be used for on-board applications on ships. Other applications include night-time navigation and collision prevention aid.
HGH Infrared Systems develops optronic and infrared systems for security, industrial and civil applications.
