Verity Instruments Completes Facility Expansion

Optical endpoint detection systems provider Verity Instruments Inc. announced the completion of its plant expansion, which now provides the company a 300 percent larger production area and 50 percent more office space.

The newly expanded and refurbished 65,000-sq.-ft. facility features a stockroom with: steel reinforced interior bunker for Class IV tornado storm and wind resistance, a ceiling with two layers of steel reinforced concrete with a center waterproof membrane to protect inventory in the event of exterior roof damage, a waterless fire suppression system and ESD controlled flooring.

The production area also has many upgrades, including ESD controlled flooring, barcode data collection, test stations with current work instructions, HASS thermal chambers, actively monitored burn in racks and updated production technology.

“Verity is pleased to announce the completion of our most significant facility expansion in corporate history,” said Mike Whelan, president of Verity. “This company owned R&D and manufacturing resource supports Verity’s objectives to expand its product line and to reinforce its 25+ year commitment to superior customer support.”

Verity supplies advanced instrumentation and software for optical endpoint determination required in etch, CVD etchback, photoresist strip, CMP endpoint and film thickness measurement applications.
