GigOptix CFO Resigns

High performance electronic and electro-optic components supplier GigOptix Inc. announced that its chief financial officer will resign, effective Feb. 1, 2011.

Ron Shelton will be replaced by Jeff Parsons, the company’s current corporate controller. Parsons has been appointed as the acting chief financial officer and will assume the financial responsibilities of the company.

Parsons joined the company in January 2010, acting as the corporate controller. Prior to that, he served as a consultant for many high technology companies. He has also served as a corporate controller at Alliance Semiconductor and as the director of finance at Lara Networks.
