Ibsen Photonics Names New CEO

Ibsen Photonics announced the appointment of Henrik Skov Andersen as its new chief executive officer, effective Feb. 1, 2011.

Torben Jacobsen, the company’s current CEO, announced three years ago to the board of directors his intention to step down in the spring of 2011, shifting his focus to board matters.

Over the next few months, Andersen and Jacobsen will work together to ensure for a smooth management shift, and after the transition Jacobsen will take his place on the board.

Prior to joining Ibsen, Andersen served as the CEO for Netgroup Holding. Before that, he held positions at Coloplast, Scandinavian Mobility, Timken and McKinsey.

Ibsen Photonics markets holographic, fused silica transmission gratings and spectrometer modules for the telecom, analytical, sensing and laser markets.
