Mobius Photonics Promotes Monro to CEO

Mobius Photonics announced the promotion of Kiyomi Monro from vice president of business management to chief executive officer.

In recognition of his commitment to the company, the board of directors appointed Monro as CEO. He has more than 20 years of experience in international sales, marketing and finance, with more than 14 of those years in the photonics industry.

Prior to joining the company, Monro worked at IMRA America, Disco Corp. and Universal Laser. In addition, he founded and was president of Stuart & Lotus International and Messy Industries.

Monro succeeds laser business pioneer Robert Mortensen. He assumed the CEO position on Dec. 1, 2010.
