Glencoe Software Inc. of Seattle, a biological research image and metadata management tools company, announced that !%PerkinElmer Inc.%! of Waltham, Mass., has chosen Glencoe’s open source-based tools as a foundation for the newly released Columbus Scope cellular imaging software solution for microscopy applications. The software enables researchers to read, visualize and reanalyze a number of vendor-specific research imaging file formats, to save and use their experimental metadata parameters, and to share images with collaborators.
