Laser Display Partnership

!%MicroVision Inc.%! of Redmond, Wash., and Pioneer Corp. of Kanagawa, Japan, will work together to develop display engines and display engine subsystems for consumer and in-vehicle head-up displays using MicroVision’s PicoP laser display technology, the companies announced recently. Earlier in the year, the two companies executed a joint agreement to develop two critical components of the PicoP display engine: a laser light source module using direct red, blue and green lasers, and a separate display engine subsystem based on the PicoP laser scanning technology. Both new components are key in the next-generation PicoP display engine, which can be embedded in products that range from cell phones and eyewear to airplanes and automobiles.
