LEDs 2011 Returns to San Diego in October
IntertechPira announced the LEDs 2011: Bringing Lighting to Life conference will be held at the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa from Oct. 24 to 26, 2011 in San Diego, Calif. LEDs 2011 will provide three full days of coverage of the latest technology, applications and end uses, lighting design and luminaires and market expectations and analysis most relevant to the LEDs and lighting sectors.
“The LEDs and lighting industries are facing a number of challenges and influences in the next several years including new disruptive technologies, changes in regulations and increasing competition from China,” said Patricia Kinzer, head of US events for IntertechPira. “LEDs 2011 will deliver the competitive intelligence companies need to achieve commercial success in LED and lighting systems. By delivering even more technical depth across a broader range of issues than ever before and bringing together the key industry R&D personnel, investors and executives, LEDs 2011 is the must-attend event of the year for the LED and lighting sector.”
Attendees at last year’s event benefitted from more than 25 presentations from industry leaders like Cree, Philips Lumileds, Osram Opto Semiconductors and Nichia America. Attendees also heard from Acuity Brands Lighting, Applied Materials, Audi AG, Honeywell Aerospace, NIST, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Sylvania, Texas Instruments, the US EPA/ENERGY STAR, the US Department of Energy and many more.
This year’s conference will feature more than 30 presentations assessing market trends, technical development and application-related advances, as well as one day of pre-conference seminars and workshops to allow for more in-depth coverage of issues and additional networking opportunities.
