Sensor Conference Advisory Board Named

SENSORS Tech Forum, taking place October 10 to 12, 2011, at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, has announced that it has assembled its inaugural conference advisory board.

“The board plays a very active role in building the conference by identifying new and exciting technology advances and applications that are driving the rapid growth and utilization of sensor technology,” said Joel Dunkel, president of EventEvolution Management Inc., the producer of the event. “We don’t want to operate in a vacuum when it comes to serving the educational needs of the OEM engineering community – that’s why we assembled a diverse group of engineering professionals to sit on our board and make sure we cover the unique and ever-changing needs of this evolving market.”

The conference board members include:

        University of South Florida Polytechnic.

SENSORS Tech Forum – in conjunction with its conference partner, NASA Tech Briefs – will produce a four-track program as well as a series of preconference workshops/tutorials that will take place over the three-day event. From an educational standpoint, the conference will cover sensor integration and networking; wireless sensing, data acquisition and testing; smart sensors; MEMS; systems health monitoring; optics, fiber optics and imaging sensors; sensor testing and calibration; power/energy harvesting and storage; and more.

In addition to the conference, the forum will highlight 50 industry-leading companies with the goal of helping attendees apply what they learned in the conference as well as those who attend the exhibit hall to meet with companies that can help them with a specific design challenge. SENSORS Tech Forum also will feature dedicated, noncompete exhibit hall hours that allow exhibitors and attendees ample time to do business without the fear of missing sessions or other events taking place.

Lastly, SENSORS Tech Forum will produce and host a variety of networking events such as opening and closing day keynote luncheons and an opening night reception in support of its mission to create an intimate environment that is conducive to learning, networking and making long-term business relationships.
